SKY will be participating as jury member of the forthcoming Media Art category of the 26th IFVA awards. With the objective to discover and nurture the next currents for local creative industry of moving image, to encourage creative aesthetics and innovative use of medium, and to encourage cross-fertilization of creativity, knowledge and experience on media creation among different regions in Asia, this year includes entrants from Taiwan, Thailand, Japan and Hong Kong.
Examining different subjects at the intersection of arts, culture, technology and society, the 26th Incubator for Film and Visual Media (IFVA) Festival continues to recognise the importance of culture and art creation.
Together with the Media Arts jury panel comprising Bryan Chung, Samson Young, Tamas Waliczky and Wang Jun-jieh, the winners were announced during the ceremony on 13th March at the Hong Kong Arts Centre and live-streamed via YouTube with Sarah presenting the Silver Award to Katsuki Nogami for ‘Modern Body’. The finalist’s works are exhibited as part of the CINEMA 2.0: Counter Visions media arts exhibition at the Pao Galleries, Hong Kong Arts Centre until 14 March 2021.
