Notating Beauty that Moves – Music at an Exhibition

SKY YUTAKA are delighted to participate as exhibition designer for ‘Notating Beauty That Moves – Music at an Exhibition’ is an exhibition and performance series which kicks off Hong Kong Arts Month. Presented by Hong Kong Sinfonietta the exhibition explores the relationship between the motion of the musicians and the notation on the score, the exhibition will showcase 36 artworks which have been sourced from around the world, and highlights include works by avant-garde composers Cathy Berberian, John Cage, Mark Applebaum, Morgan O’Hara, and Samson Young.

Accompanying the exhibition ranging from works-on-paper and drawings, to moving images, texts, photography and paintings will be a series of 13 concerts during Hong Kong Arts Month.

Thanks to the curatorial team of Samson Young, Yang Yeung and Vivian Poon and the HKS team for their vision and collaboration.
